How to Become a Nature Champion - Get Involved
How to Get Involved in Rethinking Our Place in Nature
1. Adopt a Place:
Choose a trail, shoreline, or woodlot. Care for it. Learn it. Advocate for it. Let it shape your decisions.
2. Shift One Decision That Matters:
Organizations: embed nature into a real decision—procurement, land use, policy, or planning.
Individuals: change one habit that reduces harm or restores balance.
3. Host Nature Conversations:
Bring people together - a friendship ground, a neighbourhood, a community, a speciality group - and ask: What would it look like if nature truly mattered here?
4. Make the Invisible Visible:
Track and share your impact—species protected, land improved, and behaviours changed. Tell real stories.
5. Stand for Something:
Use your voice. Support policy, challenge harmful practices, and normalize stewardship as leadership.
