Nature Nova Scotia Culture Change Founder Invite

What if Nova Scotia became known as the province that truly puts nature first?

Imagine communities where healthy forests, thriving wildlife, protected coastlines, clean rivers, and vibrant biodiversity are not simply conservation goals, but shared community values.​ Imagine thousands of Nova Scotians - from families and businesses to schools, municipalities, Indigenous communities, private landowners, and community organizations - working together because they recognize that our health, economy, and quality of life depend on the natural world around us.

Our goal is to inspire a lasting shift in how Nova Scotians value and care for nature—and to give voters a stronger voice in ensuring political representatives Put Nature First when considering commercial activity. Together, we can protect the places we love and leave a healthier province for future generations.

We invite a select group of organizations, businesses, foundations, and community leaders to become Founding Partners in this province-wide movement.

​

The Specific Ask of Founding Members / Organizations - they are invited to:  

• Are strongly aligned with and help co-create a shared vision for Putting Nature First.

• Are invested in creating lasting culture change for nature with the province.

• Work as co-equals with Nature Nova Scotia board, staff and culture change committee to shape the initiative.

• Help co-create strategy, priorities and approaches for moving the initiative forward.

• Bring relationships, expertise, influence and resources to help build the movement.

• Place a representative on the culture change committee and engage in monthly meeting and strategies.

• Help open doors and bring other founders, nature champions, sector leaders, organizational allies and nature stewards into the movement.

Your support—financial, in-kind, or through expertise and community leadership—will help grow our network of Nature Champions and Organizational Allies, engage communities, and inspire thousands of Nova Scotians to protect and restore nature.

As a Founding Partner, you will help build a powerful alliance to make caring for nature part of who we are and how we make decisions.
